Fairmont Pacific Rim


We’re told not to judge a book by its cover. But what about a brand’s social channel? TBH it can be a make or break – which is why we were up to the challenge when approached by renowned Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel to design a blueprint for the brand’s social media content that was as elevated as the hotel. We identified key brand attributes and developed a highly considered social strategy framework that authentically showcased the first-class Fairmont Pacific Rim guest experience – from IRL to online.

The process entailed an emersion into the hotel’s service offerings (spa visits woefully not included), as well as a brand discovery session with their key stakeholders. We defined the property’s social media objectives as they relate to occupancy and sales, defined their ideal social media audience, explored broader guest profiles, and discussed how each of the hotel’s brand DNA pillars could be extended to their social channels.

We then produced and executed a series of lifestyle, campaign, HR, and general location photo and video shoots that captured the warmth and easy elegance of the Fairmont experience. Additionally, Very Polite also conceptualized and designed both internal and external communication assets such as their e-blasts and online/offline advertisements.

Currently, our photo and video teams continue to work with the Fairmont Pacific Rim capturing their seasonal campaigns, as well as lifestyle and product/service photography that live on a variety of platforms.
